Noise monitoring revealed an employee was exposed to continuous noise at 87.96% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA or an equivalent sound level of 89 dBA during a 410 minutes sampling period. The employee was sanding and grinding metal parts made of steel every day. The exposure calculation included 70 minutes not sampled at zero.
