Construction Site: On or about April 10, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the employees retained the requisite understanding to recognize the hazards of falling. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of more than 6-feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: Construction Site: on or about May 10, 2018; two employees were working on the edge of the building without utilizing any type of fall protection equipment. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of more than 6-ft. to the ground below. ProTech Roofing Systems, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1149199, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on July 14, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 6801 N. Mesa St., El Paso, TX 79912.
