29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer failed to provide a clean and sanitary condition for all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces. On April 11, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that the worksite was maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Boxes were observed all over the work floor creating a tripping hazard and making it difficult to walk/access the areas. (a) 1st floor, North side of building was not maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Boxes were observed stacked on the ground throughout the area. (b) 2nd floor, South East side of building was not maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Boxes were observed stacked on the ground throughout the area. (c) 2nd floor, North East side of building was not maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Boxes were observed stacked on the ground throughout the area. (d) 3rd floor, Amazon Room was not maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Boxes were observed stacked on the ground throughout the area. In accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete and must be included with your certification.
