29 CFR 1910.22(b): The employer did not ensure that each walking-working surface can support the maximum intended load for that surface. (a) WSM Industries, at 5925 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216: On and before April 16, 2018, the employer did not ensure that each walking-working surface could support the maximum intended load for that surface. Specifically, the employer did not repair a damaged structural column that supported the mezzanine used to store inventory, and accessed by employees repeatedly throughout the day. The damaged structural column affected the workings surface load capacity and the mezzanine's maximum intended load. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.36(g)(4): Objects projecting into the exit route reduced the width of the exit route to less than the minimum width requirements for exit routes: (a) WSM Industries at 5925 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216: On and before April 16, 2018, the employer allowed objects projecting into the exit routes to reduce the width of the exit route to less than the minimum width requirements for exit routes. Specifically, two exit routes near the Spiral Heaux machine on the west side of the building were blocked off by product and inventory, making egress difficult for employees working that area. This condition exposed employees to fire and burn hazards.
