29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail: (a) On or about April 18, 2018, CMI Associates, Inc., as controlling and exposing employer, did not ensure that its employee and the employees of Canyon Framing Inc., subcontractor, were protected from falls down stairways that did not have handrails in units 12759 and 12799. The stairways were the only method to access the 2nd floor on which the framing crew was working. Abatement note: Abatement certification is required for this item (See Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
