29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: a. 122 Quentin Ave., New Brunswick, NJ - Warehouse roof Employees engaged in commercial roofing activities were not protected from falls by use of guardrails, safety line system, safety line and monitoring system, or a personal fall arrest system. Employees installing membrane roofing were not protected from falls while working at the edge while sheathing was being removed and replaced. Violation occurred on or about April 23, 2018 B. Garretson Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1099393, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on March 7, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 600 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873

29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1)(i): When no mechanical equipment was being used the warning line was not erected at least 6 feet (1.8m) from the roof edge: a. 122 Quentin Ave., New Brunswick, NJ - Warehouse Roof The employer did not erect a warning line at least 6 feet from the roof edge around the entire work area. Employees engaged in commercial roofing activities where materials were landed on a flat roof were not provided protection from falls or warned of the building edge by use of a warning line system which extended around the entire work area when the roof width was greater than 50 feet. Violation observed on or about April 24, 2018 B. Garretson Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1099393, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on March 7, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 600 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873
