29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employees shall always stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. a. On or about April 19, 2018, at the above addressed inspection site, an employee working in an aerial lift was standing on the mid-rail to perform work, thereby exposing the employee to the hazards associated with a fall of approximately eight (8) feet. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
