29 CFR 1910.145(c)(3): Safety instruction signs. Safety instruction signs were not replaced when damaged where there is a need for general instructions and suggestions relative to safety measures. The employer failed to maintain signage on the 1,500 Lb. Heavy Duty Column Dumpers used with the Mixers in the Final Mix Room at the facility located at 3728 SE 6th in Topeka, Kansas. Employees working near the Column Dumpers were exposed to stuck by hazards involving the 750 Lb. 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: The employer failed to protect employees from struck by hazards while working near the Column Dumpers. Employees working in the Final Mix Room of the facility located at 3728 SE 6th in Topeka, Kansas were exposed to struck by hazards in that the area around the 1,500 Lb. Heavy Duty Column Dumpers designed to lift and dump the full 750 Lb.
