29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): (a)Hander Inc. at 1200 North Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57104: On or about and at times prior to May 2, 2018, the employer did not ensure that each employee that was working inside an excavation that measured more than five feet in depth was protected from cave-in. This condition exposed the employee to a crushing hazard by excavation wall cave-in. Hander Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1235930, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on August 16, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1005 West. 12th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57104.
