29 CFR 1910.217(d)(3): Scrap cutters used with scrap handling systems on mechanical power presses were not safeguarded in accordance with paragraph (c) of this standard. a) Press #1 Kongskilde brand Multi-cutter / chopper - On or about May 3, 2018 employees were exposed to amputation hazards in that the employer utilized fasteners on both ends of the multi-cutter / chopper that were readily removable by employees so as to increase the possibility of misuse or removal of essential parts in accordance with 1910.217(c)(2)(i)(d).
