29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) On or about May 8, 2018, in the pasting line one (1) area, the employer did not provide for immediate emergency use, eye wash and shower stations for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body, where employees could foreseeably be exposed to sulfuric acid.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work areas: (a) On or about May 8, 2018, the employer did not make safety data sheets readily accessible to employees in their work area during parts of second and third shift. Safety data sheets were retained in the Health Services room and was locked and required a supervisor's key to access after the Health Services office was closed after first shift. This created a barrier to immediate access by employees during periods of the second and third shifts.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or before May 8, 2018, employees in the pasting area were not provided effective training regarding the presence of sulfuric acid in their work area at the time of initial assignment or when a new chemical hazard was introduced into their work area. This lack of knowledge place employees at risk of coming in contact with a corrosive material.
