Sycamore Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to struck by hazards. Framer was observed cutting wood materials using a skill saw without eye/face protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the residential construction site located at 8201 N. Sycamore Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed installing wood and working at height. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 12 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.
