29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about May 9, 2018, in the center of the mill where employees were exposed to caught-by hazards while working near a rotating auger that was used with the Crosby brand edger to remove saw dust without a guard to cover the top of the rotating auger. J & J Lumber, LLC dba Thick-N-Thin Lumber Company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1202586, citation number 1 item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on February 12, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 8591 FM 787 W, Cleveland, TX 77327.
