29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). (a): Excavation Adjacent to Chestnut Street- Two employees in an excavation were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system. Two employees working in an excavation with an approximate seven foot depth were exposed to struck-by and caught in-between hazards from possible excavation cave-ins, on or about May 11, 2018. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
