29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: 7320 Forsyth Blvd, Clayton: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employees are permitted to use ladders that are not extended minimum 3 feet above the upper landing surface. On 05/24/2018 employees used a ladder which was extended approximately 1 1/2 feet above the upper landing surface to gain access to a roof approximately 27 feet from the eaves to ground level exposing the employees to fall hazards.
