29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 5/22/2018, AVA Construction LLC was installing roofing materials on a roof of a commercial building located at 5101 Lake St. Louis Boulevard in Lake St. Louis, MO. The owner and three employees were installing shingles on an 8/12 sloped roof without the proper use of guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.
