29 CFR 1910.107(b)(3): The floor surface of a spray booth and operator's working area were not covered with a noncombustible material of such character as to facilitate the safe cleaning and removal of residue:    (a)  Future Foam Inc, at 11475 E 40th Avenue, Denver, CO: On and preceding 6/12/18, the employer did not ensure that the floor surface of a spray booth and operator's working area were covered with a noncombustible material of such character as to facilitate the safe cleaning and removal of residue.  Approximately two employees sprayed Worthen Industries Foam-Solvent-Based Adhesive during manufacturing of foam mattresses.  The adhesive contained acetone and heptane.  The adhesive was a flammable liquid.  The adhesive was sprayed in two JBI Inc spray booths, models IDB-107.  The floor and walls of each spray booth were covered by sheets of polyurethane foam and cardboard.  This condition exposed employees to a fire hazard.

Approximately two employees sprayed Worthen Industries Foam-Solvent-Based Adhesive during manufacturing of foam mattresses.  The adhesive contained acetone and heptane.  Employees also used silicone release spray to clean the spray gun.  The adhesive, silicone release spray, glass cleaner, and general purpose adhesive were used and stored at a work station where food and beverages were stored.  Employees consumed the beverages and food in the area.  This condition exposed employees to a chemical hazard.
