29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a) On or about June 11, 2018, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while performing roofing work without the benefit of fall protection from first story roof sections having ground to eave heights ranging between approximately 10 - 14 feet. b) On or about June 11, 2018, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while performing roofing work without the benefit of fall protection from second story roof sections having ground to eave heights ranging between approximately 22 - 24 feet. Pioneer Renovations, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(11) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1109432, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on February 5, 2016, with respect to a worksite located at 221 St. Charles Road, Villa Park, Illinois. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
