OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employees working next to heated presses that need oil heated to over 400 degrees Fahrenheit under elevated heat conditions were exposed to excessive heat:       HP Pelzer in Thomson, GA: Employees were exposed to the hazards of heat stress, heat exhaustion and heat stroke while operating machinery used to press parts for automobile interiors. Employees were exposed to an indoor heat index between 94 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit while engaging in moderate to heavy workloads for 8-10 hour shifts on or about June 20, 2018.
