29 CFR 1910.1200(b)(4)(iii): In work operations where employees only handle chemicals in sealed containers which are not opened under normal conditions of use, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided with information and training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200(h) to the extent necessary to protect them in the event of a spill or leak of a hazardous chemical for a sealed container: (a) Facility, 1952 University Avenue, Connellsville, PA: On or about June 21, 2018 the employer did not ensure that employees had been provided training and information on the location of safety data sheets when necessary to protect them in the event of a spill or leak. Employees have responded to spills including, but not limited to: Pool chemicals, cleaning products, oils and various other chemical products and do not know the location of the safety data sheets to ensure they cleaned the spill in accordance with the manufacturers' instruction.
