Joining lengths of work and electrode cables shall be done by the use of connecting means specifically intended for the purpose.The connecting means shall have insulation adequate for the service conditions. On March 26, 2018, and times prior thereto, employees engaged in grinding/welding operations were exposed to electrical shock hazards, in that electrical cords were not provided with strain relief, the connecting means did not have insulation adequate for the service conditions.
