29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section: At a worksite located at 4243 Gateway Drive, Sheboygan, WI 53081; the employer did not develop or document machine specific energy control procedures for the control of potentially hazardous energy when Field Service Technicians were conducting lockout/tagout (LOTO) of the center overhead crane in the 3500 Ton Department. The Field Service Technicians were required to isolate the center overhead crane from electrical power as well as install rail stop mechanisms to isolate the crane from coming into contact with the powered east and west overhead cranes.

Employees were working in areas where residue from die casting process was present on equipment and surfaces throughout the department. The residue contained cadmium and inorganic arsenic.
