29 CFR 1915.7(c)(4): The employer did not ensure that each designated competent person had the ability to accurately interpret the test results. On or about April 30, 2018, the employer did not ensure the competent person monitoring the atmosphere in the side shell of the D2002 barge while employees performed welding work could accurately interpret the test results for test such as flammable atmospheres, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide.
