29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about July 3, 2018, at the construction site located at 823 Kelburn Lane, Pickerington, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a two story residential home from the top plate of the second story exterior walls at approximately 20 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard. b. On or about July 3, 2018, at the construction site located at 823 Kelburn Lane, Pickerington, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a two story residential home from the second story floor level that had an open sided floor up to approximately 20 feet in height from the basement floor with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard. c. On or about July 3, 2018, at the construction site located at 823 Kelburn Lane, Pickerington, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a two story residential home from the first story floor level that had an open sided floor up to approximately 10 feet in height from the basement floor with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard.
