29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e): a) 5400 Ferne Boulevard, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 - The employer did not ensure that employees who were working in the basket of an aerial lift wore a personal fall arrest system and lanyard attached to the boom or basket, thus exposing the employee to fall hazards. This condition was observed on June 23, 2018. BC Stucco and Stone was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 923007, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on February 13, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 713 North 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130. BC Stucco and Stone was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 978105, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on February 10, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at N. 3rd Street and Poplar Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. BC Stucco and Stone was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1103515, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 3, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3018 West Thompson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121.
