OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the exit door provide for emergency egress in the Breeding Room: The employer is failing to ensure that employees were not exposed to struck by hazards. This was documented on July 16, 2018 at 19111 West Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The employer failed to remove the Komatsu 250 Loader from service after the windshield was damaged, cracked and broken. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods of abatement: Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Safety Manual Page 11 Do not operate the machine until all deficiencies are corrected -Check for broken, missing or damaged parts, make necessary repairs. (1) Remove the vehicle from service until the necessary repairs have been made to the windshield. (2) Utilize other equipment until such time as repairs are made to the windshield of the loader.
