29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Trash compactor room in building 1381 and 1371: Employees operated trash compactors during trash removal. The machines jammed regularly, and employees had to remove the safety guard and use shovels to unjam the machines. Employees were exposed to amputation hazard during trash compactor operation. On or about 07/18/18.

Electric equipment shall be installed in a neat and workmanlike manner. a) Trash compactor room in building 1381 and 1371: Employees operated trash compactors during trash removal. Energized electrical wires of the trash compactors were exposed without cover and were contaminated with grease. Electrical wires of the trash compactors were not installed in a neat and workmanlike manner. On or about 07/18/18.
