29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) SynCot Plastics, Inc., Line 1 of the warehouse: On July 14, 2018, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to burn hazards in that face protection was not required as employees regularly changed the screens on the extruder, a machine which processed molten plastic. Face protection was also not required as employees cleaning and maintenance duties on the extruder.

29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes a) SynCot Plastics, Inc., Line 1 of the warehouse: On or about July 14, 2018, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to burn hazards, in that appropriate hand protection was not required as employees regularly changed the screens on the extruder, a machine which processed molten plastic.
