29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employees shall always stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. On or about July 19, 2018, during the installation of structural steel for the construction of a college campus building addition located at 11000 West Pleasant Valley Road, Parma, Ohio, the employer did not ensure employees working from two aerial lifts did not climb on the edge (railings) of the basket and worked (stood) firmly on the floor of the basket.
