29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) The employer, Idaho Roofing Contractors, Inc., does not ensure that all of it's employees are protected from fall hazards when performing roofing activities. Fall protection was not worn by an employee working on a 10 in 12 pitched roof. This exposed the employee to a fall hazard ranging from 13 and a half feet at the eaves and 21 feet from the peak to the ground. This condition was most recently observed on July 19, 2018 at 4029 North Canyon Ridge, Twin Falls, ID 83303. Idaho Roofing Contractors, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1300453, citation number 1, item number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on May 8, 2018, with respect to a workplace at 5331 South McCurry Way, Meridian, ID 83642. 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used: a) The employer, Idaho Roofing Contractors, Inc., is not training its employees in the recognition of fall hazards and what actions are needed to minimize the hazard. An employee performed roofing activities on a 10 in 12 pitched roof without a fall protection system in place. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard ranging from 13 and a half at the eave and 21 feet from the peak to the ground. This condition was most recently observed on July 19, 2018 at 4029 North Canyon Ridge, Twin Falls, ID 83303.
