29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems. On 7/23/2018, employees of Perfection Steel Erection, Inc. were installing decking on a roof of a commercial building located at 13200 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Wright City, MO. The employees were engaged in a steel erection activity on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level. Employees were not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems. Perfection Steel Erection, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1004783, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/30/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 11905 St. Charles Rock Road, Bridgeton, MO.
