29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a. On or about August 3, 2018, in the facility, employees were exposed to thermal burns when required to transfer high temperature oil. The employees were required to transfer the high temperature oil through pressurized lines and were not provided with appropriate body protection to protect against accidental contact with the high temperature oil.

29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: a. On or about August 3, 2018, in the facility, employees were exposed to thermal burns when required to transfer high temperature oil. The employees were not provided with or required to wear appropriate glove protection to protect from thermal burns when handling the hot piping and high temperature oil.
