29 CFR 1960.8(a): The head of each agency did not furnish to each employee employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm: a) On or about August 13, 2018, penitentiary grounds, employees were exposed to roll over hazards while operating a John Deere Z-Trak 757, (Serial number: TC0757A020091) and the employer did not ensure operators reduced speed and navigated inclines in a manner consistent with the operations manual guidance. The U.S. Dept. of Justice - Bureau of Prisons was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1960.8(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1256000, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 9, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Old NC Hwy 75, P.O. Box 1600, Butner, NC 27509.
