29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about August 23, 2018, at the construction site located at Building #5, 2581 Walcutt Road, Hilliard, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a roof of a two story residential apartment building with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and approximately 20 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard. Marvin Murcia was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1292934, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on April 20, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 762 Waldron Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
