29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Employee(s) engaged in roofing activities on low-sope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safet monitoring system: a) On or about 9/14/18 at a roofing project located at 621 17th Street, Niagara Falls, New York; employees were placing shingles on the roof of a two story house. The roof had a 4 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 18 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On or about 9/14/18 at a roofing project located at 621 17th Street, Niagara Falls, New York; employees were using an extension ladder to access the roof. The side rails only extended 1 foot above the landing surface. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
