29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. Location: 113 Passaic Ave., Kearny, NJ. a) Employees power washing the façade of a building were exposed to a fall of up to 18ft to the lower floor while working on a tubular welded scaffold without a fall protection system; on or about 8/3/18. First Quality Construction Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1319981, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/25/18, with respect to a workplace located at 113 Passaic Ave., Kearny, NJ.
