29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about October 1, 2018, at the construction site located at 625 Zeller Circle, Pickerington, Ohio, an employee was performing framing work on an one story residential home roof with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and approximately 10 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard. Area 809 Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1284750, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 13, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 236 Annsborough Drive, Galloway, Ohio, 43119. Area 809 Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1191177, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 590 Spring River Ave, Dublin, Ohio 43016.
