29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: On or about October 2, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the exit door/route, in the back receiving area, was free from all obstructions, resulting in a life safety hazard. The fire exit was obstructed by a rolling conveyor with clothes on top, pallets, and a metal cage full of cardboard boxes. The Burlington Coat Factory was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1261796, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 31, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 800 Barnum Avenue Cutoff, Stratford CT 06614. The Burlington Stores Inc. dba Burlington Coat Factory was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1113150, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 14045 Abercorn Street, Savannah GA 31419.
