29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers were not stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they were stable and secured against sliding or collapse: WORKSHOP: The backing steel mold tool/plate (material) stored vertically on top of the center table was not appropriately secured to prevent from sliding and/or falling. On/or about October 12, 2018, the above material was hit by a load handled by an overhead hoist, and the operator of the hoist was trying to grab the material to prevent the material from falling off the table. The operator/employee sustained injuries to the right thumb from the incident.
