29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation ( where the machine cuts the metal to form a frame) and the rotating parts ( where the metal wire transferred and straightened); a) On or about 11/07/18 in the eye-wire room; employees operated the eye-wire machine and were exposed to an amputation hazard of the unguarded rim cutter blade when the machine was operating with the interlocked door open. b) On or about 11/07/18 in the eye-wire room; employees operated the eye-wire machine and were exposed to a crushing injury hazard of the unguarded profile feed and forming rollers, when the plastic guard, on this portion of the machine was opened and the machine continued to operate. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
