This was most recently documented on February 12, 2019 at Neenah Foundry located at 5945 N 70th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska 68507. The tongue guards pedestal mounted grinder was not adjusted to within 0.25" inch of the wheel. In this case, the guard was adjusted to 5/8".

On or about April 25, 2019, the employer is failing to ensure that employees are not exposed to levels of respirable crystalline silica that exceed the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL)in the following instances: A) An employee (blaster) in the d-gate loading and unloading line, was exposed to respirable crystalline silica for an 8 hour TWA of 97.11 micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m3), approximately 1.94 times the calculated PEL of 50 ug/m3. Sampling was performed for 507 minutes and included 30-minutes of zero exposure for lunch.

Employees also dry-sweep to clean their work areas.
