29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4):  Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:       (a)   Lincoln College of Technology at 11194 E. 45th Ave., Denver, CO 80239:  On and before December 11, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the dual wheel, tungsten tip bench grinder located in the shop had the correct distance between the wheel periphery and the edge of the tool rest so that it did not exceed 1/8 inch. This condition exposed the employees to abrasion hazards to the hands.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):  Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel:      (a)   Lincoln College of Technology at 11194 E. 45th Ave., Denver, CO 80239:  On and before December 11, 2018, the employer did not ensure that the dual wheel, tungsten tip bench grinder located in the shop had the correct distance between the wheel periphery and the end of the peripheral member at the top so that it did not exceed ¼ inch because the adjustable tongue was missing. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of flying chips and debris.

29 CFR 1910.254(d)(9)(iii):  Cables with damaged insulation or exposed bare conductors were not replaced:      (a)   Lincoln College of Technology at 11194 E. 45th Ave., Denver, CO 80239:  On and before December 11, 2018, the employer failed to provide a workplace free from recognized electrical hazards in that a welding lead located in, but not limited to, Booth #44 had damaged outer insulation that was wrapped with electrical tape instead of being replaced. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of electrical shock.      (b)  Lincoln College of Technology at 11194 E. 45th Ave., Denver, CO 80239:  On and before December 11, 2018, the employer failed to provide a workplace free from recognized electrical hazards in that a welding lead located in, but not limited to, the plasma cutting area had damaged outer and inner insulation with exposed bare metal conductors was not replaced. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of electrical shock.
