29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(iii): Repairs or replacements were not provided promptly as needed for safe operation of crane(s):         a) Melt Shop, Electric Arc Furnace, 31 Union Electric Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021:  On or about December 17, 2018, the manual magnetic disconnect on #4 crane (serial number 19065) was not promptly repaired or replaced as needed for the safe operation of the crane.  The disconnect switch was tied up in an attempt to keep it in position.   The disconnect would occasionally fall out causing the crane to loose power.          b) Melt Shop, Electric Arc Furnace, 31 Union Electric Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021:  On or about December 17, 2018, a Magnetek Impulse brand adjustable frequency crane controller located in the cab of #4 crane  (serial number 19065) was not promptly repaired or replaced as needed for the safe operation of the crane.  The unit was duct taped and a cardboard wedge was inserted into the front of the unit to keep the front panel from falling off.
