29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about 01/11/2019, in the machine shop, the employer did not ensure that the Floriep Vertical Mill and Schiess Vertical Mill, which employees use to machine rings and flanges, were each equipped with a guard that adequately protected the operator (and other employees in the machine area) from the rotating table.  The guard covered the lower portion of the rim of the table, but left the upper portion of the rim exposed.
