29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips, and sparks: On or about July 22, 2021, on the east side of the fabrication bay; employees utilized a Knuth Vertical Mill VDM 1600 SN# 3287 without an adequate guard affixed in order to machine rings and flanges The FAMCO Enterprises, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1370775, citation number 1, and item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2019, for the workplace located at 3444 FAMCO Road, in Brusly, LA 70719.
