For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer shall fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. a) Employee(s) used hand-held power saw(s) and grinder(s) for cutting and smoothing tilt-up concrete slab seams on the outer wall(s) of a newly-constructed fitness facility building at 75 Route 22 E., Springfield NJ 07081. The prescribed engineering controls listed in Table 1 for these specific tasks were not implemented, exposing workers to inhalation health hazard(s) of crystalline silica. Condition(s) were noted on or about 12/14/2018.
