29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut. The hood and mounting was not arranged so that the hood would automatically adjust itself to the thickness of and remain in contact with the material being cut while not offering any considerable resistance to insertion of material to saw or passage of the material being sawed. On or about 1/23/2019, an employee from Printex Inc. was exposed to point of operation hazards. The employee had operated a Craftsman 15 AMP, 10 inch table saw; Model # 137.218073 / Serial # RSS30151. The saw did not have a guard in place, which completely enclosed the portion of the blade above the table.

On or about 1/23/2018, Printex Inc. did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedures at least annually to ensure that the procedures and the requirements of this standard were being followed. The following hazardous conditions existed at the time of the inspection: a) Periodic inspections were not conducted on their authorized employees to identify and correct deficiencies or inadequacies. b) Each energy control procedure had not been separately inspected to ensure that the energy control program was being properly utilized.
