OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to explosion hazards and sharp particles flying in the air: Camping World, Inc., Jasper, GA - on or about 01/24/19, in the production area, PVC piping was used to transport compressed air. Some feasible and useful methods to correct the hazard, include, but are not limited to: (1) The complete enclosure of the PVC piping in a conduit or casing of sufficient strength to provide protection from external damage and deterioration. (2) The replacement of the PVC pipe with a type of pipe approved for use with compressed air, such as, but not limited to, ABS or other approved piping.

Electrical wiring and equipment located in inside storage rooms used for Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 °F (37.8 °C), shall be approved under subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations; for Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint at or above 100 °F (37.8 °C) and Category 4 flammable liquids, shall be approved for general use. Camping World, Inc. Byron, GA - On or about 01/24/2019, and times prior to, flammable and combustible paint were stored and mixed in a room inside the main office building that did not meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, thereby creating a fire hazard. 29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations: Camping World, Inc. Byron, GA - On or about 01/24/2019, and times prior to, employees were required to spray paint in a spraying area with flammable liquids. Electrical equipment such as, but not limited to an extension cords, light switches, electrical overhead lights, cardboard, wood, electrical switches and electrical outlets was located in the spray booth area. The electrical equipment was not approved for the location.
