OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to potential fire, deflagration and explosion hazards:    a) Production floor: The plastic flex hose connecting Belfab LW model Max Motion Premium CE CC084A, model MQP-37 to the wood dust collection system was not grounded or otherwise equipped to prevent the airflow from generating static electricity, on or about 1/31/19.      b) Production floor: The plastic flex hose connecting the Belfab LW model AF13, to the wood dust collection system was not grounded or otherwise equipped to prevent the airflow from generating static electricity, on or about 1/31/19.      c) Production floor: The plastic flex hose connecting the Belfab LW model AF13A  to the wood dust collection system was not grounded or otherwise equipped to prevent the airflow from generating static electricity, on or about 1/31/19.     NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.107(b)(3): The floor surface of a spray booth and operator's working area, if combustible, were not covered with non-combustible material of such character as to facilitate the safe cleaning and removal of residues:       Facility: The floor surface of the spray booth was not covered with non combustible material. The employer used flattened cardboard material to capture overspray during spray finishing operations observed on or about 01/31/2019.     NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut.    Facility: Delta 36L552 Unisaw with rotating blade did not have adjustable guard to prevent accidental contact at point of operation when cutting wood as observed on/or about 01/31/2019.
