29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:     On or about January 29, 2019, at the job site employees were working in an articulating boom lift installing soffits on a building approximately 15 feet above ground.  The employees were not wearing fall protection and exposed to a fall hazards.  Buffalo Drywall & Framing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1231996, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on July 12, 2017 with a final abatement date of June 26, 2017, with respect to a workplace hazard at 9914 E. 71st St., Tulsa, OK 74146.
